Cherry Blossom Gin
Amy and Stef's Cherry Blossom Gin Cocktail
If there's one thing to know about Amy, other than she's an amazing human being, it's that she likes to drink. She knows her stuff, and with a steady pairing knife hand, this is a recipe for adorable drinks. This cocktail is sweet from the watermelon and sharp and crisp from the gin and tonic. it's fresh and cool, and springy and light, and easily changed to sweetness preferences
Ingredients
- 2 cups pureed watermelon juice
- Tanqueray Gin
- Tonic water
- 1/2" thick watermelon slices, cut into flower or heart shape for garnish
- 1/2" thick cucumber slices for garnish
- Sugar for glass rim
- (optional) Simple syrup for sweetening
Directions
- Wet the rim of a glass (with watermelon water if you're fancy)
- Dip rim into sugar
- In a shaker, mix 1 part gin to 4 parts watermelon puree
- Add ice to shaker and shake
- Add a shot (or more) of tonic water
- Serve in sugar rimmed glass, add garnish
